Best car I've owned, by far

I bought the Essence trim fully loaded about a month ago with 6000 miles on it and still got the new car warranty. The original sticker price was $38,000 and I paid $25,750, which feels like a steal. The car overall is amazing. Very smooth transmission, plenty of power, great fuel economy (I get 29 in the suburbs, 40 on the highway... no joke), great sound system and it's a hatchback! There are a few things I had to get used to but nothing is a deal breaker. The turn signal lever is VERY cheap. It creaks every time I use it. The sun visors are also on the cheap side. The start-stop function cannot be turned off permanently, but I found out if you shift into manual mode before you come to a complete stop, it keeps the engine running until you start driving again. Coming from a manual transmission this isn't too annoying for me but I could see other people having an issue. Lastly, there is not very much storage space compared to my previous vehicles. To summarize, I would not pay anywhere near the $38,000 sticker price, but it is a great car if you get a good deal. I wanted a car that was unique, fun to drive, looked classy and was practical, and this is exactly that. - 5.0

I own the 2019 Preferred model and absolutely love it. It’s seriously luxurious inside and out. The trim isn’t basic or plastic looking, it’s very well done. Everyone who has ridden in it can’t believe how nice it is, and has such a smooth ride. A nice surprise is that most new Regal owners find the MPG we actually get is much higher than stated. Mine ends up usually being 28/39 but I have even gotten as high as 42 on a long trip. I was seriously considering a Camry, but loved how the Regal is bigger, with more storage. With dealer incentives, you can get one for around 20K well equipped! - 4.0
Almost the station wagon I wanted, but it will do

I am not a short person, nor is my wife, however we both have difficulty getting into and out of any of the SUV height vehicles. There are very few liftbacks and station wagons on the market today, this fits us well. The performance and handling is very good, but I would have rather had a v-6. Since it is in the owners manual, I guess it is just not offered in the US. Would also have liked cooled seats. Not available. The interior storage space is really limited, and the area under the rear is extremely disappointing. Had I checked this area first, It would have changed the negotiation on the price...NO spare tire?? no Jack. And I really do not need all that base with the audio system. Some of the materials are also a little low quality, and too jazzed up for appearance. I am not in favor of the adaptive cruise control, and finally figured out how to disable it. I Just need standard , "I' ll watch the road ahead" cruise control. Getting used to the auto stop/start since I don't believe it actually stops the engine, just a very low power low rpm idle, disconnected from the drive system. The navigation system is good, but needs a little more driver input to eliminate the make a U turn - when stopping for gas. I will make the final yea or nay recommendation after I get 5 years with no problems.
